 Energy column – product description With the energy column APEX Energy has developed a product from the Sonnensäulen® solar column range of products which ensures a self-sufficient source of energy for the widest variety of areas of application. Whether for the safeguarding of the energy supply of measurement, data-compilation and data-transfer installations on motorways, pipelines, or for the operation of supply pumps or for the supervision and regulation of other special installations in grid-remote locations, there is practically no limit to the applications to which these columns can be put. The “Energy Column” programme encompasses three standard sizes which in the main vary in construction by virtue of the size of the solar panels and the diameter of the columns. Diverging from these standards, we are, however, willing, and in a position to supply special solutions for particular application cases. In principal the performance of the columns will be determined, quite apart from the location, the insolation and further influencing factors, in each case by the size of the columns.
